The Lake Palace, built in 1754 A.D., is a fantasy island shimmering on mirror-calm Lake Pichola. Lake Palace the former summer residence of royal family was previously known as Jagmahal after the name of its founder Maharana Jagat Singh II. It is an impressive, imposing edifice exuding a royal ambience. Built entirely of marble, the ethereal pearl white inn is like a cloud floating on the lakes surface.
