Graceful by day and almost magical by night Sukhadia circle is a huge landscaped circus on the northern fringe of Udaipur. For travelers entering the city from that direction, this is their first land mark. It centre piece is an enormous, graceful three tiered fountain which was erected as monument to Shree Mohan Lal Sukhadiya One time Chief Minister of Rajasthan and a native of Udaipur. The unique fountain is 0 feet in diameter and 42 feet high. It is surrounded by a wide, circular pool where one can enjoy a fun trip on one of a number of slightly bizarre, duck like pedallos. A path encircles the pool then a ring of well maintained lawn and lastly a broad perimeter border of exotic shrubs and trees including some gorgeous palms. Shukhadiya Circle is more than a roundabout, it has developed into the hub of Udaipur’s evening leisure activity.
