Gulab Bagh, Udaipur
Gulab Bagh is a spectacular rose garden laid out by Maharana Sajjan Singh on the eastern side of Lake Pichola. It is the biggest garden in Asia located between the high population areas as it has cover 65 acres of Land. Earlier the courts were held here and it also housed various state offices. It is said that Swami Dayananda Saraswati the founder of Arya Samaj, composed his famous book Satysrtha Prakash here in Navlakha Mahal. The garden consists of large ponds covered with lilies and several varieties of trees that provide ample shade to the visitors. In the vicinity is also a zoo with various animals including tigers, lions, leopards, etc. Here also runs a mini train for children to take them around the Garden and is ws the first of its type in India.
